My journey so far...

I was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire, and from an early age, I sensed a gap in our cultural understanding of health. I often found myself asking, “Why is there so much illness and chronic pain? Surely this isn’t natural?” My quest for answers began when I went to university in Chichester in 2006 and joined a yoga class.

I still remember my first yoga class with great affection. For the first time, I experienced a profound sense of peace and clarity, accompanied by an unshakable feeling that I was exactly where I was meant to be. Within just half an hour, I knew I would one day teach yoga.

In 2010, I took my first step in this direction by gaining a foundation diploma in yogic studies with the British Wheel of Yoga. This course deepened my understanding of Eastern philosophy and wisdom, sparking a lifelong respect for these ancient teachings. From 2012 to 2013, I traveled extensively, immersing myself in Buddhist and yogic ashrams and experiencing a different way of life. I practiced karma yoga (the yoga of selfless action) and began following my dharmic path. I trained as a yoga teacher in the Himalayas.

It was during my time in India in 2012 that I discovered acupuncture—quite unexpectedly. After falling ill with a fever and stomach bug, a fellow student who was an acupuncturist offered me treatment. I was skeptical but desperate to feel better, so I agreed. Within just 10 minutes of the needles being inserted, I felt 90% better. My appetite returned, and my energy improved significantly. I was astonished by the effectiveness of acupuncture and became determined to learn all I could about it.

Upon returning to the UK, I began my studies at the prestigious College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, earning a BSc (Hons)  and Licentiate in Acupuncture from 2014 to 2017. This training answered the questions I had been asking since childhood. I realised that much of our illness stems from living out of balance with nature. Without awareness and preventative care, imbalance becomes inevitable. However, with knowledge and the right tools, it is entirely possible to live a balanced, healthy, and pain-free life.

Since graduating in 2017, I have dedicated myself to perfecting my diagnostic and treatment skills, addressing a wide range of conditions (please see my FAQ page for common ailments treated). I have also trained in Ayurveda, India’s “Science of Life,” and incorporate its principles into my practice for those open to this approach.

By combining Ayurvedic lifestyle advice with Chinese medicine, my goal is to restore health, vitality, and balance to every patient I treat.
